What we collect
- Details you give us in our forms: name, job title, company, work email, phone, company website, and information about your business and deliveries.
- Cost information you choose to share, including figures entered in our cost calculator when you send them with a cost review request.
- With your consent only: how you use our website, through Google Analytics cookies.
If we contact you first, we may use business contact details from public sources such as LinkedIn or your company website.
You do not have to give us your details, but we cannot respond to your enquiry without them.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, carry out a cost review and prepare a proposal. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to and developing business enquiries.
- To send occasional updates, only if you tick the box to receive them. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To understand how our website is used, only if you accept analytics cookies. Our lawful basis is your consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use service providers to host our website and forms (Netlify), run our email (Google Workspace) and, with your consent, measure website use (Google Analytics). Where they process data outside the UK, we rely on UK-approved safeguards such as the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and cost review details are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case they are kept for as long as our contract requires. If you sign up for updates, we keep your details until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@steadhand.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first at privacy@steadhand.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond without undue delay. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them. They tell us which pages are visited, how visitors arrive and which parts of our forms and calculator are used. They do not record what you type. If you reject them, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using cookie settings.
